Event & Ticket Terms

These terms apply when you book a place at an event listed on Italy Lions, and when you list an event as an organiser. They sit alongside the Terms & Conditions; where the two differ on an event, this page decides.

Two things to know before anything else.
1. The organiser runs the event, not Italy Lions. We list it, we handle the booking, and we are not the promoter, the venue or the seller.
2. Paid ticketing is not currently available on Italy Lions. Free event bookings work today. Paid ticket sales through the platform are not active and nothing on this platform can take a card payment.

1. Who you are contracting with

Every event on Italy Lions is organised by a member, a business or an organisation — the organiser. The organiser decides what the event is, where and when it happens, who may attend, what it costs, and what happens if it changes. Your agreement to attend is with the organiser.

Italy Lions provides the listing and the booking mechanism. We are not the organiser, the promoter, the venue, the performer or the seller of any ticket, and we do not become a party to your arrangement with the organiser by listing their event.

The organiser's name is shown on the event. Where the organiser is a business, its Italy Lions business profile is linked. If you need the organiser's full legal or fiscal identity — for an invoice, for example — ask the organiser directly; Italy Lions does not verify or publish it.

2. Free event bookings — how they work today

For an event the organiser has marked as free:

Paid ticketing through Italy Lions is not active. No payment provider is enabled on this platform, no card details can be entered, and no charge can be made. If an event shows a price, any payment for it is arranged directly with the organiser, outside Italy Lions — and Italy Lions has no part in it, no record of it, and no ability to refund it.

Italy Lions intends to support paid ticketing in future. When and if it becomes available:

Until then, never send money to anyone because a page on this platform appeared to ask you to. Italy Lions does not request payment for event tickets. If you are asked to pay a "booking fee", a "release fee" or a deposit in the name of Italy Lions, it is a scam — report it at info@italylions.com.

4. Your booking code and entry

A booking code is not a fiscal ticket. An Italy Lions QR code is a booking reference that lets an organiser check you off a list. It is not an Italian fiscal ticket (biglietto fiscale), it is not a titolo di accesso issued through a certified system, and it is not evidence of tax, SIAE or Agenzia delle Entrate compliance. See section 11.

5. Duplicate and misused tickets

6. If the organiser cancels, postpones or reschedules

The organiser decides, and the organiser is responsible. Italy Lions does not cancel, postpone or reschedule anyone's event, and cannot promise an event will take place.

7. If you cannot attend

8. Refunds

Italy Lions does not currently take money for tickets, and therefore does not issue ticket refunds. Nothing on this page creates a right to a refund that you do not otherwise have.

9. Entry conditions and venue rules

10. If you are the organiser

By listing an event on Italy Lions you confirm that:

Italy Lions may refuse, unlist, or remove any event, and may suspend an organiser, where these terms or the Community Guidelines are breached, where the event appears unlawful or unsafe, or where attendees are being misled.

11. Tax, SIAE and fiscal obligations

Italy Lions makes no compliance claim of any kind. The platform is not a certified ticketing system. It is not integrated with SIAE, it is not integrated with the Agenzia delle Entrate, it does not issue fiscal tickets or titoli di accesso, it does not produce a corrispettivo or an invoice, and it does not report anything to any authority on an organiser's behalf.

Public entertainment and ticketed events in Italy can attract obligations relating to copyright collection, entertainment tax, certified ticket issuance, public-safety authorisation and record-keeping. Which of them apply depends on the kind of event, the venue, the audience, whether admission is charged and who the organiser is.

Those obligations are the organiser's, and the organiser must take their own professional advice. Nothing on Italy Lions — including a booking list, a QR code or a scan record — should be relied on as satisfying any of them.

12. Circumstances outside anyone's control

Neither Italy Lions nor an organiser is responsible for a failure caused by something genuinely beyond reasonable control — including severe weather, natural disaster, fire, flood, epidemic, public-health restrictions, an act of a public authority, civil disturbance, strike, war, terrorism, or the failure of a venue, a utility or a telecommunications network. Where such an event prevents an event from going ahead, section 6 applies to the organiser's decision and section 8 to any refund.

13. Italy Lions' role, and its limits

14. Questions and complaints

About an event, its price, its content or a refund: contact the organiser — they are the only one who can answer.

About the platform, a listing that breaks our rules, or an organiser behaving dishonestly: use the Report button on the event, or write to info@italylions.com.
