Community Guidelines
These Guidelines say what belongs on Italy Lions and what does not. They
apply everywhere on the platform — posts, comments, Stories, Reels,
Lion Messenger, Lion Market, business profiles, jobs, rentals, events,
Lion Transport, Lion Grocery, Community ideas and member profiles.
Last updated: 21 September 2026.
Italy Lions is 18+.
You must be at least 18 years old to create or use an Italy Lions account.
These Guidelines sit alongside the
Terms & Conditions, which are the binding
agreement; where the two differ, the Terms decide.
1. The three basics
- Be real. Use your own name, your own photo and true information.
One personal account per person.
- Be lawful. Nothing that is illegal in Italy is allowed here,
whatever it is worth and however it is described.
- Disagree with the idea, not the person. Making your case, saying
you had a bad experience with a business, or not agreeing with an
opinion is welcome. Insulting the member who holds it is not.
2. Illegal content and illegal activity
Do not use Italy Lions to commit, arrange, advertise or assist anything
that is against the law. This includes, and is not limited to:
- Selling or offering stolen goods, or goods you cannot lawfully sell.
- Counterfeit goods — fake brands, fake labels, replica items sold as genuine.
- Controlled drugs, weapons, explosives, or anything requiring a licence you do not hold.
- Piracy — pirated films, television, music, software, streaming
subscriptions, IPTV lines, or codes and accounts you have no right to resell.
- Forged or falsified documents of any kind: permits, contracts,
certificates, identity documents, residence documents or payslips.
- Undeclared or exploitative work, or any arrangement that depends on a
worker's immigration status to keep them silent.
- Anything involving a person under 18 in a sexual context. There is no
threshold, no context and no appeal for this: the account is removed
permanently and reported to the authorities.
3. Fraud, scams and impersonation
- No scams and no money fraud. Do not take money for goods,
services, rooms, jobs, rides, documents or tickets you cannot or will
not provide. Do not ask for a deposit, a "release fee", a "processing
fee" or a top-up card before a member has seen what they are paying for.
- No advance-fee requests. Nobody on Italy Lions should ever ask
you to send money to prove you are serious.
- No impersonation. Do not present yourself as another member, as
a business you do not run, as a lawyer, doctor, commercialista,
CAF or consultant you are not, or as Italy Lions itself. Italy Lions
staff never ask for your password and never ask for money.
- No fake reviews. Do not write reviews of your own business, pay
for reviews, or post negative reviews of a competitor. Honest accounts
of a real experience — good or bad — are welcome and stay.
- No fake identity documents or fake credentials on a profile, a
business page or a job listing.
4. Harassment, threats, hate and dangerous content
- No harassment. Repeated unwanted contact, following someone
across the platform, or pressuring a member who has asked you to stop.
- No threats of violence against anyone, their family or their property.
- No hate content. Racism, casteism, religious abuse, and abuse
based on nationality, ethnicity, sex, sexual orientation, gender
identity, disability or age are not tolerated.
- No vulgar or abusive language, in any language — Sinhala, Tamil,
English or Italian. Italy Lions checks what you type on your own
device, before it is sent: a message or comment containing abusive
words is refused, and nothing you typed is stored or sent to us when
that happens. Nobody reads your private messages to do this — see the
Privacy Policy.
- No sexual content or sexual advances. Italy Lions is not a
dating platform.
- No content that encourages self-harm, suicide, eating disorders or
dangerous acts. If you are worried about someone, contact the
emergency services on 112 rather than posting about it.
- No glorification of violence or of violent organisations.
5. Spam and misleading content
- No repeated posting of the same content, no posting the same listing
many times to stay at the top, and no automated posting.
- No off-topic promotion in comments, in Lion Messenger, or under other
members' posts.
- No misleading headlines, no fake urgency, and no claiming a price,
stock level or availability that is not real.
- No chain messages, pyramid schemes, "financial opportunities",
recruitment into investment schemes, or crypto promotions.
- No phishing: no links designed to collect somebody's password, card
details or documents.
6. Listings: goods, jobs, rentals, rides
Everything you list is your listing and your responsibility.
Italy Lions does not inspect goods, vet employers, visit properties or
check vehicles, and a listing appearing here is not a recommendation.
- Lion Market. Describe the item honestly, including faults. Show
the real item in your own photographs. Do not list prohibited,
counterfeit or stolen goods.
- Jobs. Only list work that genuinely exists. State the role, the
place and the conditions truthfully. Never charge a candidate a fee
to apply, to be considered, or to be hired, and never ask an
applicant to hand over original documents.
- Rentals and Lion Homes. Only list a property you are entitled to
let. Rental listings must not discriminate unlawfully — including on
nationality, ethnicity, religion, family status or disability. Do not
ask for money or documents before the member has seen the property.
- Lion Transport and community rides. A ride shared here is a
private arrangement between members, not a licensed taxi or coach
service. Do not offer paid passenger transport you are not licensed to
provide. Your vehicle, licence and insurance are your responsibility,
and they must cover the journey you are offering.
- Business profiles. List your real business, at its real address,
with contact details that work. A business profile on Italy Lions is a
community listing, not a verification, an endorsement or a
guarantee by us.
7. Other people's privacy
- No doxxing. Do not publish another person's address, telephone
number, email address, workplace, documents, immigration status or
family details without their agreement.
- No private conversations in public. Do not screenshot and post a
private Lion Messenger conversation to shame or expose somebody.
- No photographs of people who have not agreed. Take particular
care with anyone who could be under 18 and with photographs taken
inside temples, churches, schools, hospitals and workplaces.
- No secret recording of calls or conversations posted here.
8. Copyright and other people's work
Post your own photographs, video and writing, or content you have
permission to post. Do not re-upload someone else's film, music, news
article or photography as if it were yours. Where Italy Lions supports
embedding a video from another platform, use that — it keeps the credit and
the view with the person who made it.
If something here infringes your copyright, write to
info@italylions.com with the link,
a description of the work, and a statement that you hold the rights. See
the Terms for what we do next.
9. How to report something
Use the Report button. It is on posts, comments, Stories, Reels,
Lion Market listings, Community ideas, member profiles, business profiles,
events and private messages. Every report goes to the same moderation
queue.
Where a surface has no Report button yet, or the matter is urgent, email
info@italylions.com with a link
and what happened.
Reports are confidential. We do not tell the other member who
reported them.
If someone is in danger, call 112 first. Italy Lions is a community
platform and cannot respond to an emergency. Report it here as well, so the
account can be dealt with.
10. What we do when a rule is broken
We choose the measure that fits what happened. Depending on how serious it
is, whether it has happened before, and what harm was caused, we may:
- issue a warning;
- remove the post, comment, listing, Story or review;
- close a Lion Messenger conversation;
- restrict a feature — posting, messaging, listing or reviewing;
- suspend the account temporarily;
- remove the account permanently; and
- where the law requires it or someone is at risk, report the matter to
the authorities.
A reason is recorded with every action we take, so that the decision
can be reviewed later and explained to the member affected. Decisions are
issued in the name of Italy Lions — we do not name the moderator who
acted, and we do not name the member who reported.
11. If you think a decision was wrong
Write to info@italylions.com,
saying what was removed or restricted and why you think the decision was
wrong. A person will look at it again, and we will tell you the outcome.
Nothing here limits any right you have under Italian or EU law.

almost certainly never hear from us again. 🇱🇰🇮🇹
